Professional standards, and state and federal law, protect your and your eligible dependents’ privacy, except in cases when mandatory state or federal reporting is required. The EAP maintains all confidential records and notes—those records and notes do not become a part of a personnel file or other University records.
The EAP only releases information you explicitly authorize and will not disclose any information about a visit to another University employee. However, if required by a supervisor, the EAP will confirm that you kept an appointment and the length of the appointment.
