Are You Prepared for Retirement?

Electronic Delivery of Required Notices

Most notices are available under Required Notices. Summaries of Benefits and Coverage and Summary Plan Descriptions are available under Plan Documents. You can request a printed version of these notices by contacting your campus Human Resources office.

Important! You will receive a paper copy of the Notice of Universal Availability for Retirement Plan Participants one final time in April 2021. After this mailing, you will not receive a paper notice in the future.

Do You Know Who Your Beneficiaries Are?

You never know when the unexpected could happen, so it’s always best to have a plan. It’s important to review your beneficiary elections annually to ensure your benefit ends up in the right hands. A beneficiary is a person, persons, or an entity that will receive your benefit if you die while a plan participant. You should also check that your beneficiary’s contact information is up to date.

It’s just five minutes a year to make sure the people you want to receive your benefits actually get them!

  • If you belong to Cohort 1, you can review and update your beneficiary elections for life, long term disability, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance by logging in to Workday. However, to review and update your beneficiary elections for your retirement plans, you’ll need to contact TIAA and Fidelity.
  • If you belong to Cohort 2, you can review and update your beneficiary elections by contacting your campus Human Resources office.
